Experience the thrill of microlighting at the longest established school and club in Scotland
With over 25 years of experience, the flight instructors at the school are keen to teach and pass on their enthusiasm of microlights to anyone who has an air experience with them. You will be flying in a flex wing/weight shift microlight which is an aircraft that looks similar to a hang glider. The school has a warm, welcoming, friendly environment which is sure to add enjoyment to the whole experience.
Upon arrival you will have a short briefing with the instructor. From there you will be taken to the microlight, your instructor will pilot the aircraft from the front seat and you will be sat behind him. The instructor will take off and show you controls of the aircraft, you will then be in charge and fly the plane from the back seat! You can fly for how long or short you like, however control must be passed onto the instructor for landing. With this experience there is plenty of time to fly and sit, back and relax whilst you enjoy beautiful scenery beneath you. The voucher entitles you to a 60 minute lesson. The school is open 7 days a week and lessons run from 10am till 6pm (light permitting).

Information and Restrictions
On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months for one person. On receipt of this voucher you are free to call the flying school to book a lesson. The maximum weight for the experience is 16 stone. Minimum age for flying is 14 years old, however anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Flight time will be 60 mins, no previous experience is necessary. It is suggested that you bring along a camera, as there will be many excellent photo opportunities during your experience. The lesson is subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check if it is safe to fly.
