At Sea With The Seals, Sea Kayaking Weekend
Price: £225

Activity Details
Develop sea kayaking skills on the Pembrokeshire Coastline in Britain's only coastal National Park - an unspoilt and beautiful sea kayaking venue.

This one and a half day course will suit beginner and intermediate kayakers and our team of fully qualified instructors will teach you all you need to know about kayaking to get the very best out of this world renowned coastline where caves, seals, birds, Atlantic ocean swells, beaches and harbours make this a real sea kayakers paradise.

Day 1 Will bring the opportunity to learn new skills while taking a full day kayak trip along the coastline where lunch can be taken on a secluded and idyllic bay. Over the course of the day there will be mysterious and awe inspiring caves to be explored, wildlife to be spotted, and clean green waves to be ridden.

In the evening after a well-earned meal it's time to chill out at the comfortable lodge. For the perfect 'apres kayak' feeling we recommend unwinding in front of one of the wood burning stoves, glass of wine in hand, mulling over the excitement of the day and looking forward to the adventure ahead!

Day 2 You will get the chance to develop your existing kayaking expertise - you can work on your own personal paddling skills and if you choose you can learn a little more about rescue and safety techniques. There'll still be time to take a trip around a different section of the coast - with over 185 miles of stunning and varied coastline you really are spoilt for choice! If there are waves you can visit a local surf beach where you can try your hand at surf kayaking - ultimate thrills guaranteed!

Sunday evening you'll pack your bags and with a teary eye depart for home. But never fear, once bitten by the Pembrokeshire sea kayaking bug you are certain to be back for more?

ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation consists of a spacious lodge, awarded a 3* by the Wales Tourist Board, sleeping up to 30 people. It is set in 3 acres of land; a beautiful location with just a 1 mile walk through National Trust woodland to our local beach which is stunning, unspoilt, and a place where seals sometimes sleep. Our comfy bedrooms sleep between 2 and 8 people and there is full central heating throughout.

There are 2 lounges with wood burning stoves, a large 'sun room' (conservatory) with pool table and music, and a well-stocked bar for the use of our guests. We serve tasty meals, and tea, coffee and cold drinks are available to help yourself to at all times. Our food is home cooked, wholesome and delicious!

We have patio area; perfect for warm summer evenings or for watching the beautiful sunsets or you can enjoy beers around a blazing bonfire in our sheltered garden for awe inspiring nights out under the stars.

Since the lodge is exclusive to the group that is staying, there is a real atmosphere of 'homeliness' and comfort, choose to 'party' or 'relax' - the lodge is big enough to accommodate both! If you want to sample the local village pub, in the small and friendly hill top village of Mathry, it's just short walk from the lodge and will give you a real taste of rural Welsh life. From here you can look out over the Preseli Hills; the source of the 'bluestone' of Stonehenge.
