This two hour pool based lesson under the guidance of trained PADI instructors is a great way to learn the basics of scuba – with the emphasis on fun! Add to your next holiday with this fantastic sport. You'll cover fundamental safety and mobility techniques, as well as proper breathing skills and equipment familiarisation. If afterwards you want to take further PADI qualifications and lessons (including some fantastic open-water courses), you can book these directly with the dive centre.
Things kick off with a poolside briefing about the basic principles of scuba diving safety and what you can hope to achieve during the lesson. Then you'll receive all the necessary scuba gear before getting into the water to become accustomed to the unusual feeling of weightlessness and how to properly use the equipment. Under careful yet fun guidance from your instructor, you'll gain confidence as your lesson progresses.

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months for two people. The experience operates on Thursday evenings (18:45 - 19:45) and Saturday mornings (9:00 - 10:30), subject to availability. If demand is sufficient extra alternative days may be arranged - please call the supplier to check. All participants will be required to sign a medical declaration prior to taking part. You must be able to swim to take part but no previous scuba experience is necessary. The experience is suitable for anyone over the age of 12. Time in the pool is around 90 minutes with a 30 minute poolside briefing. All you will need is a swimming costume and towel - all the scuba gear is provided for you.
