Activity Details Experience the romanticism of a bygone age as you step aboard the Cathedral Express Sit back and enjoy the sights, smell and sounds of the golden age of train travel. The Cathedral Express is pulled by fabulous vintage steam engines, offering customers a relaxed, unhurried and civilised journey reminiscent of a bygone era. On the outward journey you will be served a champagne brunch and on the return there will be a four course dinner. You will each receive a half bottle of champagne on the day of your experience. The voucher will have the contact details to make your booking. Destinations are varied but include Bath, Bristol, Canterbury, Cambridge, Chester, Chichester, Exeter, Gloucester, Oxford, Norwich, Salisbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick or Weymouth but upon contact with the operator they may be able to offer other destinations. Most trains depart early to mid morning, from a London station or from other pick-up/drop off points outside London and return in the evening, giving you plenty of time to explore the delights your chosen city has to offer. The trains go to different destinations on different dates, and the operator will give you a list of their yearly schedule upon request. You will be seated at tables of crisp white tablecloths and gleaming glass and cutlery (please note that there is a £25 supplement for a private table of two payable at time of booking). On the outward journey you will be served a champagne brunch and on the return there will be a four course dinner. You will each receive a half bottle of champagne on the day of your experience.

Important Information and Restrictions On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with 10 months validity. This experience is for two people on a week day. The voucher will have the contact details to make your booking. You will be seated in a dining car for the entire journey. A vegetarian option is available and should be requested at time of booking. You will each receive a half bottle of champagne on the day of your experience. The operator reserves the right to vary the locomotives throughout the year and for operational reasons it may be necessary to change locomotives at short notice. Please note that this experience does not include special event trains, Christmas shopping or carol specials.
