Game Overview
If you thought FPS games had reached the absolute limit of destruction, you'd be wrong! BLACK is here and if it’s on the screen it can be destroyed! EA bring you one of the most destructive games ever to be released! The amount of glass in the game to run around smashing up is ridiculous, never have we seen so much of it but it sounds so sweet when it finally smashes, there is just something about the noise that makes you want to shoot a hole through every window in site!
Black's storyline it has to be said is pretty poor; you play the part of a soldier by the name of Keller. The first cut scene you will come across is of Keller being interrogated by someone. It appears to us as though you were assigned to dispose of a terrorist, unfortunately we didn't pay much attention so can't tell you all that much more, trust us the storyline is lame and really doesn't pull you in and get you involved, a typical "click through till the action comes" game.
99% of the effort gone in to this game has gone in to the gameplay, when you first switch Black on you are going to be extremely impressed, the graphics look fantastic, the sound is brilliant and the kill count just keeps rising and rising. None of that running around looking for ammo to load you weapons with, the amount laying around after 5 minutes is incredible, you hardly ever run low on Ammo and if you do, you wont have to look far to find anymore!
Lots of reviews we have read about Black have said that the "gunplay is poor and that all the guns feel the same, it appears that the explosions are more impressive than the array of guns on offer". Should these people really be playing video games? Its a computer game, is it going to really bother your average Joe Bloggs that one gun feels the same as the other, people just want to go out there and get stuck in!

Our Conclusions
Unfairly criticized on some very petty things, Black is by far the amazing game that it was built up to be by a fair few, but it is definitely worth getting. The AI isn't brilliant and the Storyline is pathetic but no one cares about those things, just go out there and start blowing things up! If you want to try and get your missus or mate in to FPS games, this is the perfect one to get them!
