Game Overview
Champions Return to Arms is a cross between Baldours Gate, Lord of the Rings and other games that involve magic and potions, outrageous weapons, a bit of blood and toe to toe combat! That is a pretty good recipe for a Playstation 2 game and it does all mix quite well! It is how computer games are meant to be, completely unbelievable and exciting!
Unbelievable is a bit of an understatement really, if you believe in giant man eating spiders, scorpions, frog type things, numerous amounts of magic potions, and you believe that this place exists, could you please contact us or contact a mental hospital. Champions Return to Arms really is way out there, completely unbelievable but that is the beauty of it!
The in game graphics are superb and very rarely will you find anything wrong with them, but it is almost impossible to take any of them in as there is almost a constant flow of creatures and people to kill, so your to busy to take in the "scenery"!
We do a bit of research on every game that we review and we actually found someone that related this game to a Volvo or a Chicken Korma, meaning that the game was “adequate rather than inspiring. We had to put that in there as A. we found it funny and B. it’s true! Champions Return to Arms could possibly make it in the games genre as a classic but nowhere near an all time classic, it is too average!
We are more than certain that if you like RPG's you will love Champions Return to Arms, it would help for us to play Champions of Norrath so we could compare the two, but we haven't! We found ourselves getting a tiny bit bored as we knew what was coming in the next level, enemy after enemy, so there wasn't really much want or need to get further in the game but like we have said if you like that kind of thing then you have stumbled upon a good game!

Our Conclusions
Wouldn't recommend this game to your average gamer, its definitely a game that has a following, and will probably only appeal to RPG fans, if you think you might like it, you are probably best nipping along to your local games rental place first before making any hasty decisions! You know where to come if you want a good price though! Make sure if you do purchase Champions Return to Arms to try out the online play, it does make things a little more interesting!
Overall Score: 6/10
Thanks to BlokesOnly's King of Games Chris Swanson and everyone at Ubisoft, without them this review would not be possible.
