Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Global Star
Legendry book written by the late Roald Dahl, turned to the big screen not once but twice and now the ultimate, a computer game! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is probably the most famous book written by Mr Dahl, well it has to be, to have 2 films AND a game! Pretty impressive if you ask us, but is the game any good?

Game Overview
Too cut it short, yes, the game is pretty good, its not ground breaking amazing that sets a new standard, but it is worth a purchase!

The first thing you will notice is the graphics, colourful, lively and make everything in life seem worth while, switching on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and seeing all the greens, yellows, purples, blues and reds really puts a smile on your face and cheers you up if you have had a bad day at the office. Willy Wonka still looks like a prat in the game with his stupid clothes and the things he says but he does look a lot like the real life counterpart Johnny Depp, always a good thing when the characters look half decent!

The gameplay of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is very Spyro the Dragon! Run around collecting things and solving a few puzzles on the way (more about them later!) with one huge exception, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory you get Umpa Lumpas to help you, find an Umpa Lumpa hanging around doing nothing and tell him to follow you, you can have up to five Umpa Lumpas following you at one time and basically you tell them to do stuff that you can't be bothered with doing yourself! Bit like the Mrs!!!

The puzzles!! Now to be honest we aren’t the biggest fans of these types of games, having to run around solving puzzles and actually using your brain, and we aren’t going to start now! There is one particular part of the game where you have to rap a robot in vines to turn it in to a ball and then block up vents with it to stop air from escaping! Sounds easy but we just couldn't work out what we had to do, we sat in front of the TV for ages trying to figure it out! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is without a doubt one of those annoying "i can't do it" games, but keep going, it is definitely worth it!!

Our Conclusions
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory pleasantly surprised us, we honestly thought it was going to be a pile of rubbish but it turned out to be quite a good little game that appeals to the young and the old, it brings back the real lost in another world feeling that so many games nowadays are missing. It's definitely worth hiring out and we are pretty sure you will get so engrossed and lost in a world of candy, chocolate and bright colours that you will be straight out to buy it!

Overall Score: 7.5/10
