Game Overview
"Doing Up" cars is one of the biggest hobbies in the world now, the Japanese take some already awesome cars and make them even faster and even sexier! The Americans take huge great big "tanks" and "pimp" them out, with huge 20"-28" rims and insane hydraulic suspension that see them bouncing down the highway whilst listening to the latest Snoop CD. The English however, get there hands on whatever car they want, throw a set of alloys on it, lower it and chuck a huge exhaust on it! I would say the English are a little more hardcore, but style definitely goes to the Japanese and the Americans! Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition is more pointed towards the American style of pimping rides, so if you are into your Escalades and Chargers then you’re going to love this game! But don't be disheartened if you aren't because they still have a fair few faster and sleeker cars!
Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition boasts a very impressive selection of cars, from VW Golf R32 to Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-spec, or you could choose a Dodge Viper GTS/R, what about a Mitsubishi Evo VIII, 1969 Camaro Z28 or if you prefer 2 wheels to 4 wheels then you could choose from a Ducati 999R, Aprillia Mille, Kawasaki Ninja ZX 12R or maybe even a West Coast Chopper! We think it’s safe to say that the developers have catered for everyone’s taste in motor vehicles! Now it's completely up to you to pimp those rides!
OK, so its not all about pimping rides, there is actually a massive amount of races for you to take part in that go on in and around the city. Cruise up to someone; hit the O button and its race time! Choose whatever route you want but make sure you hit the checkpoints, we found that usually the quickest routes are the ones that the computer takes but occasionally you stumble across a shortcut which will be the difference between you finishing last and first. One thing we liked quite a lot about Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition was that the AI was quite impressive and they didn't all follow each other, they race like you race, ducking and diving, in and out and trying to find the fastest route, which makes for some very challenging racing!
The soundtrack is simply amazing! By far the best soundtrack we have heard in a very long time! Whilst you mod your motor and rip up the streets your ears are blessed with sounds from Queens of the Stoneage, Kasabian, Ash, Twista, Fabolous, Beanie Man, Fat Joe, Papa Roach, Hundred Reasons the list is almost endless, the soundtrack is huge! It really helps bring the game to life!
The graphics take a little bit of getting used too, and we do actually prefer the graphics from NFSU2 but they are still quite impressive and the speed effects as traffics whizzes by you is quite incredible and it really gives you the impression of intense speed!
If you get bored beating the living daylights out of the computer then hook it up online and try doing the same against other modders from around the world!

Our Conclusions
There isn't much you can complain about with Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition, it has decent cars, a wicked soundtrack and loads of playability! Graphics could maybe do with a little bit of sharpening up but apart from that its a sound game! Whether or not it's better than NFSU2 remains to be seen, we couldn't decide, way to close to call. We love them both!
Overall Score: 9/10
