Game Overview
Shadow the Hedgehog starts of with a wicked Video and a fantastic piece of music that suits it to the T, rocky, hardcore gun blazing Shadow takes to the stage and shows his face! He does look really really cool, dare we say it a lot cooler than Sonic does!! Shadow is the High School bully in a leather jacket and jeans and Sonic is the geek getting his lunch money beaten out of him! That’s how cool Shadow is!

The game itself has some awesome graphics that will blow a lot of gamers away, sonic fans your in for a treat, the graphics are pucker! Colourful, but have that dark side tinge to them when it's needed just to give the game that dark feeling to it.

We asked a few Sonic fans what they thought of Shadow the Hedgehog (before we had played it) they all said the same thing, "The soundtrack is amazing", Intrigued this is the first thing we went in hunt of when we finally loaded up Segas latest release, and yes, we can confirm the soundtrack is ear drum destroyingly good!! Loud, proud and in your face, just like a soundtrack should be, adds to the games "hard" image and makes the game playing quite enjoyable!

The gameplay, yes, hmmmm, kind of hard to pass comment on this subject really, this is basically because, well, we don't know why really!? It's different but really strange and quite hard to explain. You can help the good guys or you can help the bad guys but if you decide to help the good guys they still shoot at you which got a little bit annoying so we killed everything in sight, made sense to us! You will hear Knuckles or Sonic say "These humans need our help" so you assume that you need to kill the aliens, you do that and the humans start shooting at you?! It might just be us not understanding what on earth is going on, but it got quite confusing!

Our Conclusions
Shadow the Hedgehog is visually impressive and the soundtrack is brilliant, make sure to hook it up to a decent sound system and get the house rocking. This game won't be for everyone, if you are into your sports games you probably aren’t going to like this too much, but platformer lovers and sonic fans are going to adore Shadow the Hedgehog, it is a must buy for them!
