Game Overview
Spongebob Squarepants Lights Camera Pants is a new release from THQ which will undoubtedly be top of many kids Christmas lists this year, and why not, Spongebob will go down as a classic with kids, very much like Thunderbirds, Sooty and Sweep, or The Turtles, it is the cartoon of the new millennium.
Lights, Camera, Pants can be made into a very competitive game for us "adults" though, it takes on the party style gameplay where players pit it out against each other in various different types of mini games, as you can imagine this leads to some very fearsome gaming sessions and we are more than certain will be great fun when mixed with a case of lager and maybe a bottle of Whiskey! Drunk gaming with your mates of course is great fun and Spongebob Squarepants will add the excitement.
Graphics are nothing special, it's a typical cartoon game, nothing groundbreaking and fairly uninspiring, however these kinds of games really don't need outstanding graphics! It's a cartoon after all, it can only be as good as the programs graphics which lets face it, aren’t all that amazing!
Party games are great fun to play, but the novelty wore of with us a little too fast, like we said earlier, with mates and some booze it will be a great laugh but just trying to play this game on your own will leave you looking for something else to do within an hour. Kids, they will love it and probably sit in front of the TV for ages playing it, a winner if you need to keep them quiet whilst you deal with "other business".

Our Conclusions
It isn't as deep and as involving as the Mario Party series, but with a little bit of development and more involving gameplay THQ could have a good title to challenge Mario's equivalent. Probably not worth buying it for yourself but is definitely worth a play, get it for your kid brother or your kids for Crimbo and play it before you wrap it up! It is a good game, don't get us wrong but we can think of a few other things that might warrant our £25.
Overall Score: 6/10
Thanks to THQ
