Game Overview
Marvel games have always pretty much been a 3rd person game running around saving people, blowing things up and trying to reenact the scenes that you have seen on the big screen! There is no getting away from it with The Punisher as it carries on the trend but if you think that this is going to be a kiddies "hero" game, think again!

Guns, Sabotage and Torture, not really something you would encourage your five year old son to play whilst you "attend to other things". Would you really like your five year old to try and crush his younger sisters’ head against the toilet bowl? No, didn't think so!

So we have established that this game isn't for the youngsters and the 18 certificate backs up our theory, but if you have a little bit of anger in you that just needs releasing then this game is the one for you.

The game itself to put it bluntly is mindless brutality! You play the part of Frank Castle (The Punisher), he goes around punishing the criminals! Find a guy who needs punishing, drag him to a punishment spot and then do your worst, impale him on elephants tusks that are mounted to the wall, threaten to shoot him, drop a skip on his head or if you really feel nasty you could just chuck him straight out of a window.

You gain energy by torturing people, basically you are driven by insane acts of torture and pain, although it seemed a little pointless as it is quite difficult to die in the game anyway, but on the flip side, if, whilst punishing someone, you kill them, you are deducted points! Seemed to us that they are taking away the point of the game! A little strange we thought and it does ruin the game a little bit, but, at the end of the day, you can still kill them and punish them to your heart content, so who cares about points!!

Our Conclusions
Definitely not for the faint hearted, a great game although it does have a few things we would love to see changed if they were to release a sequel. The information you gather as you go through the game, you never actually seem to need or use but like we have said, who cares when all you want to do is wrap someone’s face around the toilet! Oh, and one other thing, do not go anywhere near a tank of Piranhas after playing this game! Please don't try this at home!!
