Game Overview
It's The Sims 2, the easiest way to put this is "you know what to expect", another house building, furniture buying, job hunting winner from EA, with the main objective is to keep your Sims from urinating on the floor! (What's that, there are actual objectives!?!? Get outta here!)
The only way we can describe The Sims to you if you have NEVER played or seen it before (which we find hard to believe) it's basically your idea of heaven that occasionally gets really annoying! You can eat when you want, play with computer games, listen to music, go swimming any time of the year in your outside pool, sleep when you want, you can pretty much do anything anytime, although you will effect things that go on around you, and that is not necessarily a good thing.
One big thing that EA have missed out in the latest Sims installment on the PS2 is that there is no baby making anymore, ok so you never got a full blown porno video showing every position in the Karma Sutra, come to think of it the Sims never even got naked but for some obscure reason it still made you laugh like a teenage girl and it was something you would play the game hours and hours for just to see! Why get rid of it! Bad move!!
The graphics are........the same as ever, the sounds are.......yep you guessed it, the same as ever with the Sims really annoying voices back to haunt you! Although the sound effects are a lot better it's nothing that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
It was nice to see that the multiplayer option hadn't disappeared, so you can still pit your family against your mates created family although we still fail to actually see the point in this one, don't get us wrong it is a good laugh but a bit more of a novelty than anything else. Online capabilities would have been cool, we aren't quite sure what you would do with the game online, maybe create a neighborhood or something along the lines of that, actually, that’s not a bad idea!

Our Conclusions
Good as always, Sims series is classic gaming, its never going to top what has been on the PC in the past but it still comes a close second and more than sufficient if you don't have a PC or a PC good enough to run the PC version. A must have for all Sims fans, they might miss a few of the bits and bobs that EA have taken away but that has made more room for other new features that Sims lovers will adore!
Overall Score: 7.5/10
Thanks to New Media Maze and EA
