Game Overview
World Championship Snooker 2005 is undoubtedly one of the most addictive games ever made, even if you don't watch or play any snooker at all, you will be hooked by this game!
The graphics, the animations, the colour, the sound commentary and pretty much everything about this game all adds together to make one of the most realistic snooker games on any games console, EVER!
The gameplay in the tour mode is incredibly difficult and will take a lot of precision to get you to The Crucible. You are whisked into a world of waist coat wearing, cue rubbing, and ball bashing masters where only the best will pull through. When you first set out you will need to qualify for all the big events which is very hard in itself, then once you have got through the few qualifiers its head to head battle with the worlds greats, O'Sullivan, Ebdon and Hunter, all extremely life like and all gunning for you!
There is also extra games involved within the game like Trick Shots, Pool and Billiards although we didn't get to much into them as we found ourselves distracted by the level of competition and the want to beat other qualifiers to get ourselves into big competitions, however the Trick Shots is definitely something you should try out to practice your technique and precision.
World Championship Snooker 2005 goes that little extra further than it's predecessors, crisper graphics make the game look almost perfect and the untrained eye would have trouble telling the difference between a real game on the Beeb and the actually Game.
We would love to give you a quick rundown of the Online Capabilities that World Championship Snooker has included within its already challenging gameplay, but for some reason we were unable to get online with the game, so if you know what the online gaming is like drop us an email and let us know! We can guarantee it is going to even harder!

Our Conclusions
World Championship Snooker 2005 definitely gets a thumbs up from us here at the BO offices. We were quite happy plodding along on World Championship Snooker 2003 but 2005 has blown it out of the water, well, that’s what we think anyway! Let us know what you think and be warned, this game will send you into a phase of snooker wants and needs! No matter how much you beg, the Mrs. will not let you put a snooker table in your kids bedroom! Be nice though wouldn't it!
Overall Score: 9/10
