Game Overview
It's online only, which has to be a first in console gaming. Sid the storyline, sod the single player, Sony are hitting back at all those people out there who said that the PS3 was poor online. Online only means mass amounts of shooting, running, killing and taunting noobs! Oh Joy!

It is probably the first game that is really meant for online on the PS3, there have been other online titles such as Motorstorm and Resistance Fall of Man but neither of them hit the mark for us, although Resistance did come remarkably close. Warhawk even comes with a free Bluetooth headset so no one has an excuse for not having a good ole chin wag whilst getting their backside handed to them on a plate!

Graphically you can't go far wrong with Warhawk and you'll be seeing the PS3 potential with what Warhawk offers to the gamer, crisp and incredible attention to detail on planes, characters and landscapes. It's early days with the PS3 so we can only imagine what the graphics will be like in a couple of years time once developers have really got to drips with the PS3 hardware! Warhawk is without a doubt one of the best looking titles to date.

Atmosphere is really built well throughout the gaming experience with the soundtrack and the sound effects really enticing you into the game and before you know it you'll be on the edge of your seat shouting down your microphone, probably with little spats of girly laughter as you're character dies for the 50th time!

The only gripe we have found with Warhawk is the steep learning curve, with 32 people able to play all at the same time, you can imagine how fast paced the action is which leads to being "owned" quite a lot and we must admit it annoyed us so much that we actually switched off after a while because we were rubbish. BO top tip: Stick at it, as when you come good and get the hang of the game, it is great picking of the noobs one by one and hear them crying to themselves! Brilliant!

Our Conclusions
It's the first game since Motorstorm which we have actually been excited about and it has proved that the PS3 can mix it with Xbox for online gameplay albeit only just. There is still a long long way to go for Playstation to match the online capabilities that the 360 offers with Gears of War, GRAW or Forza Motorsport but Warhawk is a step in the right direction and is a very good game! A must buy for all PS3 owners.
