Army of Two
We are playing it at the moment, so far so good, little fiddly at first but lots of fun and very different to anything we have ever played. Graphics take a bit of a hit in game but the cut scenes are some of the best graphics we have ever seen, in fact, we would go as far as saying they are the best we have ever seen. The shot across the airfield at the begining might as well be real! Needless to say, we reckon a lot of people are going to enjoy what Army of Two has to offer.

The Club
There is no denying that change is most definitely good in this instance. The Club is refreshing, different and keeps you on the edge of your seat with a very different style of playing an FPS. There probably aren't too many directions this style of game can go in but for now enjoy what is on offer and thank Sega for experimenting a bit!

Turok
There isn't a lot to complain about with the look and sound of Turok, it's fair to say that it does the basics right, but for us Turok is just another shooter, nothing ground breaking, nothing really different. Killing Dinosaurs with a knife is good fun but it's broken up with boring sessions of killing generic looking henchman, wave after wave of them. If you are a fan of Far Cry then you'll love Turok as it has a very similar feeling to it, add Jurassic Park to the equation and you get the idea.

FIFA Street 3
It still appeals to us, we don't know why, maybe because it's a game that you can't take too seriously and can just pick up and play if you want to waste half an hour. It's entertaining against mates but online just makes you wanna scream as you take on a spotty 15 year old for the hundredth time who persists on ball juggling everywhere! A little repetitive at times and single player really doesn't cut it all that well, just hope you have some mates who are willing to spend some time with you. Probably not worth the RRP but a bargain if you can find it for £25 otherwise just hire it for a couple of days.

NFL Tour
NFL Tour isn't going to set your world alight, it is a little repetitive and nothing more than an Xbox Live Arcade game really. £39.99 is a little steep but that’s just because it's the UK and the novelty of American Football is huge at the moment, the States have NFL Tour at a much cheaper price. It's enjoyable running off walls and playing a cut down version of NFL for a while and it's enjoyable to play against mates once in a while but realistically it is so simple it's boring.

Guitar Hero 2
Although we still aren't sure on the selection of songs the game still feels very enjoyable and fun to play, given that, you can almost look past the naf soundtrack, however, we are here to give it to you straight, with Guitar Hero 3 out as well at the moment, if you can afford one of these games and one only then don't look any further than Guitar Hero 3. GH2 is fun but you need to be hardcore Rock 'n' Roll fan of about 35-40 years old, unfortunately that’s not the target age.

Frontlines: Fuel of War
The demo is available now on the Marketplace and we can't stop playing it. For us, Frontlines: Fuel of War is going to be one of the games of 2008, with not long to go till the release (29th February) te temperature is hotting up at the BO Offices.

Burnout Paradise
Paradise, for us, is a winner, top graphics (as you have come to expect), soundtrack as ever is "banging" (and yes, Guns n Roses are one it) and there are some great features like boost filling stations and auto repair centre’s allow you to keep ripping up the roads in style. Revenge has well and truly been pushed aside now and Paradise sits proudly in its place. With online features stronger than ever you'll be playing Paradise for a long time!

Blacksite
Oh how we wanted to like this game, the demo seemed so promising but the real game was just a let down and falls way short of what was hyped up. The graphics look very pretty in places but they don't make up for what is quite a poor game. In a gaming industry that is dominated by FPS games Blacksite really should have been better. A short story mode, repetitive levels and enemies and the scare factor that the game almost promises with the menu system just disappears.

SKATE
A sturdy start for EA in their new ventures, lets hope that they don't get too carried away, SKATE has a cracking soundtrack, addictive gameplay and a good lineup of skaters (although not on the same celebrity level of Tony and Bam). Skating fans have had a real treat this year with two very good games, if you want our opinion (which is what you are here for we assume) we prefer SKATE over Tony. It's new, a little different, innovative and enjoyable even if the controls are a little tricky to get the hang of.

Kane and Lynch - Dead Men
Kane and Lynch offers up some hefty gun fights and a very well thought out story line which makes playing the game almost like watching a movie. Don't let the kids play this one as there is a huge amount of swearing (more than we remember seeing in any other game) and a fair bit of blood............if that is how you like your gaming then Kane and Lynch is right up your street. It's no groundbreaking achievement and in all fairness should have been a lot better, but it should help you if you have a third person shooter craving.

Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock
The achievement points available on Guitar Hero 3 are very very difficult to get and require you to be an expert at the game. Maybe we are just rubbish at the game but i think we managed a whole 20 points after completing the game! It's still as good as ever, there really isn't much of a difference over Guitar Hero 2 except the wireless guitar and a far superior soundtrack. An excellent Christmas present and a game we're sure will get plenty of console time over the festive period.

WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2008
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 really doesn't offer you anything extra than 2007 did, in fact it takes things away from you with less characters available in 08. It's still a good game as it still plays very much like 2007 which was excellent but we really expected a bit more from a "newer" title. As we mentioned earlier in the review, Wrestling fans will enjoy it and won't care about forking out £40 because it's wrestling but happy go lucky people who just want a "fighting" game will be better of sticking with 07.

Viva Pinata Party Animals
Party Animals is an enjoyable game for all of about 2 hours whilst you mop up some achievement points. The graphics are excellent and the colours as you would expect are very vibrant and give everything a happy look. Ideal to keep the kids quiet on a Sunday afternoon or after Christmas dinner but rental at best for adults looking for a game to purchase.

Timeshift
If you want a very pretty looking FPS with very varied online play to keep you going for hours and something a little bit different to the normal FPS games then Timeshift is most definitely the game for you. Don't expect an award winning storyline, do expect to be very confused and also expect to get a little bit anxious to just run around blowing anything and anyone away, still good fun though. It's definitely no Halo but it's a good game none the less.

NHL 08
Oh what a game, everything is there that you need from an NHL game. It's fast paced, keeps you on the edge of your seat, you'll never have the same game twice so offers tonnes of replay ability. If this doesn't get people in to Ice Hockey then nothing will. Graphically you won't find any better and barr a few problems with the shooting and the players feeling a little bit heavy at times, gamers will be very impressed with what we reckon is the best NHL title to date (although we are yet to play Take 2's NHL 2K8).

Clive Barkers Jericho
It's a shame there is no replay ability as if there was some form of multiplayer it most probably would have boosted the score of the game a little bit. It's not the worst FPS game we have ever played and most FPS fans looking for a bit of a fix will be kept occupied for a while. It really threatens to be a cracking game worthy of an 8 or 9 score but unfortunately falls a little bit short, hopefully the sequel will have the creases ironed out and we'll be looking at a stunner.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! CoD4 is a return to form for the Call of Duty series. 3 was good, don't get us wrong but it was no CoD2. Call of Duty 4 on the other hand, for us, is everything Call of Duty 2 was and the fact that it has broken the mold of WWII fighters, it has that little bit extra. Graphics are simply stunning and the overall gameplay across the board is up there with the best fo them, yes, we mean Gears of War, GRAW and Halo 3! Call of Duty 4 is a must have for all console owners.

You can see why we are so excited about CoD4 from the following video. Hank Keisey, Military Advisor for CoD4, talks us through what the game has to offer. Click her to view the video

NBA Live 2008
It's a sturdy attempt at a game, which is something we have become used to from EA. Our worry with the NBA series is complacency as the game never seems to change all that much. The game looks superb and we did enjoy our time with NBA Live 2008 however with competition from Take 2 and NBA 2K8 it should be an interesting year for NBA fans.
