Game Overview
Quite possibly one of the most frustrating games we have played in quite some time. Jericho as we mentioned above is a squad based paranormal FPS so think Ghost Recon crossed with FEAR. The main reason we became so frustrated with Clive Barker's Jericho is purely the fact that it threatens to be a great game but unfortunately a few aspects to the game let it down and it ends up falling quite short.
The graphics and sound do compliment the style of game and constantly have you on the edge of your seat expecting to have to change your underpants any time soon, however, that time never seems to come along. Jericho definitely gets your heart racing and like with most games it is all about the build up and the suspense however the finishing blow when you are a bag of nerves never materializes.
As this is a squad based game you'll often find yourself being reliant on the AI, which can sometimes be a little fragile and your team mates will be dropping like flies. The good thing about Jericho is the ability to switch between each person in your squadron and make use of that particular person’s special ability for example, slowing down time. At times though it's the last thing on your mind as you are unloading round after round but if you sit back and think about what you are doing, the ability to switch players is a blessing in disguise and will definitely get you out of some sticky situations.
FPS fans will probably enjoy what Clive Barker's Jericho has to offer, the end boss and ending in general is fairly poor and sets the game up nicely for a sequel but the story line to be fair doesn't really go anywhere which left us feeling a little let down at the end. With no online features and no multiplayer what so ever you will really struggle to go back to the game, but its definitely worth playing it through once so you can say you have played it, it's got a good array of achievements as well.

Our Conclusions
It's a shame there is no replay ability as if there was some form of multiplayer it most probably would have boosted the score of the game a little bit. It's not the worst FPS game we have ever played and most FPS fans looking for a bit of a fix will be kept occupied for a while. It really threatens to be a cracking game worthy of an 8 or 9 score but unfortunately falls a little bit short, hopefully the sequel will have the creases ironed out and we'll be looking at a stunner.
Overall Score: 6.5/10
