Game Overview
Although we were told that Oblivion was going to rock we weren't all that sure, we aren't huge fans of RPG games and we were panicking that we might not be able to offer a fair review of the game so if you have any complaints about the following review let us know, however make sure you read through first, we kinda liked the game!
We will start with the highly addictive and very enjoyable gameplay, we have read through numerous user reviews on the internet and many people have mentioned glitches, can't say we noticed any glitches (although we weren't really looking). The main quest is apparently very short and completed in no time at all but the problem we had was that, well, it was a bit difficult, so we didn't get to the end of the main quest! The gameplay in general is very impressive however you do get the feeling that some aspects have been rushed and that there is a lot of room for a lot of improvement, more of an interactive environment would have been brilliant!
What will impress you the most with Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion is the graphics they are simply amazing, they are jaw droppingly good, the HDTV really sets them off a treat and for some reason had us in fits of laughter just because we were so amazed, a massive downfall though is that sometimes the game gets a little jerky and kind of freezes briefly, it really is a kick in the teeth for Oblivion, hopefully it's not just our console playing up! The swimming confused us a little bit, looking at the water it is crystal clear and everything can be seen however once you are under the water and swimming you can't see a single thing! It was things like this that made us think that some aspects of the game were rushed a bit but all we do is tell it as it is, this could have been done for a reason!?
The sound is as you would expect, there isn't really much we can say about it other than it does get a little repetitive and annoying, other than that everything is spot on and very lifelike.

Our Conclusions
If you are stuck for a game to buy or get bundled in with your Xbox 360 then you can't really go wrong with Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion, although there are a few problems with it you will be very happy with your purchase, we must say that the untrained eye will struggle to find much wrong with an almost perfect game. It has had top notch scores almost everywhere we have looked and BO isn't going to break the trend - Great game!!
