Game Overview
As most of you will know Rainbow Six is another title in the Tom Clancy range and has been going for quite a few years as a computer game and one that has always grabbed our attention throughout the years, needless to say we were really excited about the new title Rainbow Six Vegas so when it turned up in our pigeon hole, everything else stopped!

As mentioned earlier, Rainbow Six Vegas has been hyped up a lot due to the Face Recognition feature which utilises the Xbox Live Vision Camera by taking a couple of pictures of your face and then mapping your image and creating you in the game! Freaky! It's very simple to do as well, look at the camera, press A, turn your head to the left, press A then just sit and wait for a few minutes whilst the Xbox does all the work, then hey presto your guy appears on the screen looking a bit like you. We say "a bit" because to be honest it isn't spot on, there will be some similarities between you and your in game counterpart but for the slightly more weighted people the mapping feature makes you thin! It's not able to map hair either but as you are in the Special Forces you'd have a buzz cut anyway so that doesn't matter too much!

We do have one major fault with this somewhat luxurious feature which really wound us up, which was the fact that once you have created a character you aren't able to create another. So when your mates come round to see what the face mapping is all about you will have to delete your character and start from scratch! We do hope they update this soon as it is a bit of a pain having to delete and re-do your character every time you want to show someone the novelty feature, however all in all we were pretty impressed with the face mapping feature, considering it is the first game to really attempt it.

If you enjoyed Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter then ultimately you are going to settle right in with Rainbow Six Vegas and shouldn't have too many difficulties working out the controls and what you need to achieve in order to advance through the game. Although with Ghost Recon was a bit more of a all guns blazing affair getting caught with your pants down in the middle of a town centre and bullets being sprayed everywhere. Rainbow Six sits on the fence between tactical and all out destruction, sometimes you'll find yourself in a standoff other times you'll be quietly creeping around a building with a silenced weapon and popping off people quietly. It really is a good mixture between the two and definitely keeps you on your toes and trying to be a bit more stealthy.

Graphics wise, very similar to Ghost Recon although shots of Vegas as you will see on most reviews for Rainbow Six are simply stunning and really hit home how far gaming has come since the days of Mario and Sonic! You'll be hard pushed to find a game as visually enhanced as Rainbow Six although it does at times fail to impress on Xbox Live, with some backgrounds and items looking a little shoddy.

The thing we love most about Rainbow Six Vegas is the recoil on your gun, very hard to explain and something everyone has to experience for themselves (we would highly recommend jumping on Live Marketplace and downloading the demo) but you feel everything the gun does when it recoils and boy does it recoil hard too, your controller vibrates like never before and the first few times you fire your weapon it puts you of target for a bit whilst you adjust to the recoil of the gun. It is very impressive but as we said, incredibly difficult to explain.

Our Conclusions
Rainbow Six Vegas in a nutshell is a top quality game; it’s a lot more strategic online and does force you to work as a team so should appeal to the thousands and thousands of people who purchased Ghost Recon. You won't go far wrong picking Vegas up, it'll hold hours of fun online, and keep you scratching your head offline! Top pick for the 360 and shouldn't be missed out on!
