Game Overview
An interesting 3rd person tactical shoot em' up here, one that has had a lot of press coverage and an awful lot of hype around it over the last few months, definitely one of the most anticipated 360 titles so far.
It most certainly is a lively War game with bullets being sprayed at you almost all the time with a more than occasional Tank rolling towards you and trying to blow you into next week. Players are thrown right into the thick of it all with the first mission getting you to destroy numerous tanks, killing mass amounts of German gunners fending off planes and generally getting to grips with the game. This also includes the deployment of allied vehicles and calling in reinforcements, quite a unique feature having to place your own Turrets and AA Guns in a 3rd Person shooter, adds a bit of a Command & Conquer feel to the game sometimes, although a little unrealistic how the tanks, vehicles and guns are delivered, the feature works quite well and makes you feel a lot more in control of the game.
The Outfit gives you the choice of a few characters to play as whom all have that typical American Hero look to them, unfortunately that is exactly how the game plays as well, your men will be dropping dead left right and centre but you just seem to keep going and going. We can't say we have ever noticed this in other War games before but it is very noticeable in The Outfit. The War wasn't won by one heroic American!!
Graphics wise we thought would be a lot better, but they are still pretty nice to look at above the quality of original Xbox but not quite pushing the 360 to its full potential yet, however the levels are huge and there is so much going on in them that we have to admit we can't see a bog standard Xbox console running this, hence the reason it 360 only! The benefits of the 360 increase every day!
One huge disappointment bought on only by the game developers themselves is the vehicles, as the levels are so huge the only way to get from one location to another in a decent time at all is by using some form of military vehicle, when driving the vehicles not only do you direct the vehicle with the left analogue stick you actually control the machine gunner with the right analogue stick. As we are sure you can imagine controlling the vehicle is next to impossible especially as you are trying to mutilate Nazi's on your way through! Bit of a design fault if you ask us, you need the vehicles to navigate the huge maps but the vehicle control is so poor you get bored and fed up trying to get the hang of it! Very annoying!

Our Conclusions
A good action game that 3rd person strategy game fans will absolutely love, the vehicles are a huge disappointment and will tarnish your overall opinion of the game however if you look beyond that problem then you are left with a not to bad game!
Overall Score: 7.5/10
